Please join us for the May meeting where Greg Blate, Managing Director of Veritas Solutions Group, will speak about employee Fraud and how it affects companies and Human Resources.
Mr. Greg Blate has more than 25 years of professional experience providing forensic investigation, auditing, financial consulting and litigation support services throughout the United States, Europe, Asia & Australia. He assists clients in fraud and white-collar crimes matters and commercial disputes, as well as helps organizations identify and implement effective controls to mitigate fraud an operational risks in their organizations.
Greg leads Veritas Solutions Group, a full service forensic advisory services practice, providing investigation, forensic accounting and consulting services. Veritas assists organizations and counsel on behalf of their clients to recover the facts and information they need to resolve complex legal, financial and regulatory challenges. Greg has also developed the Verifi Fraud & Ethics reporting hotline (www.verifyhelpline.com) which provides organizations and their employees, vendors and customers, access to a confidential tip line for anonymous reporting of fraud or other unethical behaviors.
In this session, Greg Blate, CFE, CPA, CBA will present his insights on occupational fraud and in particular its impact within the human resources arena. Greg is the Managing Director of Veritas Solutions Group, a Canton-based firm that provides investigative and consultative services related to fraud and other misconduct that occurs in the workplace. Greg will share recent fraud trends and how they are being executed to enhance our awareness of current fraud schemes and how they may impact our organizations. Additionally, he will share some of the very common warning signs to help us enhance our effectiveness in spotting possible issues. Greg will share his perspective on how the human resource function can add more value to the organization by being an active participant in helping to prevent and partner with others to help detect fraud or other misconduct. Greg will also provide some specific tools and other best practices to assist in managing and deterring fraud within our organizations.
